With his famous equation E= mc2, Albert Einstein proved that when you come right down to it everything in the universe is energy. Both in the physical plane of our reality of matter and the abstract reality of our mind are made up of energy patterns. The concept of a universal energy flow is not a new one. The ancient Chinese called this flow chi; the ancient Hindus called it prana. The disciplines that developed in those two cultures - t'ai chi and yoga, respectively- are based on the art of tuning in to the flow of energy and using it to centre the self. Particle physicists try to understand the nature of nature at the smallest scales possible. Today, we know that atoms do not represent the smallest unit of matter. Particles called quarks and leptons seem to be the fundamental building blocks - but perhaps there is something even smaller. Empty space, we have discovered, is actually not empty at all. Astrophysicists have found that less than 10 percent of the mass of the entire universe consists of the kind of "luminous" matter that we can see. What is the dark matter that makes up the rest of the universe? How can we find out? Though we understand many important properties of the fundamental building blocks of our universe, there are untold mysteries still to solve. Advances in technology allow physicists to build more powerful and sophisticated instruments to look deeper and deeper inside matter. There Is A Thief In Your Living Room
This thief didn't come in through an open window or unlocked door. You actually invited him in! Not only that, but everyday you turn him on and crank him up to keep stealing from you. Some of these thieves work five to ten hours every day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Although some of them burn out from the work, most of them never get caught and put away. Worst of all is that this thief steals one of life's most precious gifts - your time! That thief, my friend, is your TV. I'm as guilty as the next person when it comes to getting wrapped up and sucked in by the latest reality show or a good movie. Fortunately however, I am cognizant of my lazy leanings and have plenty of motivation to curb those tendencies. Part of that motivation was inspired in my late teens, when I was cautioned by a wise man about the perils of a TV-addicted lifestyle. He predicted that when I went to visit my couch potato friends ten years down the road, they'd have accomplished little and would be doing exactly what they were doing now - sitting on the couch watching TV. He was absolutely right. In ten years not much had changed in their lives except the programs they were watching. Oh ya, and their backsides moved further south. Twenty years into the program(s) and they're getting back from life exactly what they've put in - zero, zilch, nada. Their reasons for spending twenty, thirty or more hours per week glued to the tube are sometimes more entertaining than the programs they watch. Their reasons for NOT doing some things are just plain sad. "I'm tired after working all day." (Any good doctor would tell them that physical exercise is far more refreshing.) "It's important to watch the news and stay informed". (Use a Walkman and listen to the news. If it's that important, you'll find out.) "It's an interesting topic". (The whole world and beyond is an interesting topic. The only worthwhile knowledge is that which is put to good use.) "I can't go to Grandpa's 80th birthday party, 'Friends' is on that day". ('Friends' is on ten times a day, every day. Will he EVER go anywhere?) "I need to see what happens to Rupert". (Ya, and Rupert could care less what happens to you.) There's the irony. Couch potatoes watch OTHER people LIVE their lives. On the other hand, many active, interesting and highly successful people don't even own TV's. They do, do, and do some more. They don't know who Rupert is and they don't care. There is no vacuum in their lives by result. Quite the opposite, their lives are full to capacity with meaningful activity and interesting people who are REAL. If you have dreams and desires that aren't being fulfilled, take a look at how much time you spend in front of the tube. Try this. The next time you pick up the clicker to turn on the TV, ask yourself how sitting on your butt for an hour or more will contribute to your life... or your bottom line. If that investment doesn't provide a tangible return, it's time to turn it off and turn elsewhere.

Think Right Now! Series: Assume Responsibility - Then You Are in Control
Most people don't even realize that they are having a constant conversation with themselves.
You do it all day long, too.
We all do.
It's not just mental pictures and movies we see in our mind's eye--or with our actual eyes. There's an inner dialog going on constantly about our thoughts, opinions and ideas about those images we see. We constantly talk to ourselves about the physical and emotional feelings we get, too.
Whether you are aware of it or not, you are doing this all- day-long.
For example, if you are someone who is always cracking jokes or who is told often that you have a "good sense of humor," it's not just on the outside that you're funny. You are having humorous conversations in your head all the time. You "see" the humorous side of life.
But if you are depressed or angry or afraid of a lot of things, if you are nervous and stressed out, it's all in how you communicate with yourself... your non-stop stream of mental movies and inner dialog is the biggest reason for your negative/disempowering emotions.
I hear from new clients all the time, "I can't help the way I feel. It's not my fault... if my boss would just..." "If my wife, kids, parents would only do X, then I'd feel better."
"If someone would just listen to me, I'd be more successful at X."
"I can never get a break."
"I'm surrounded by idiots. It's no wonder I can't get anything done."
"Everyone is always sabotaging my efforts."
Totally controlled by others.
See, by and large, once you are past the age of 15 and in some cases, 18-20, all your achievements and failures are 100% your fault. Because no one can control what you say to yourself but you.
Bill Gates was a billionaire by the time he was 31. He dropped out of college even though his parents didn't want him to.
Tiger Woods' dad made him practice, but that didn't ensure he'd be anything but pretty good. Lots of parents push their kids. But most people push back, experiencing only anxiety from it.
To the exact same situations, one person reacts with depression ("It's over now, I'll never make it."), another person reacts with anger ("It's their fault!"), and yet another person responds with hope and optimism ("Well, you can't win 'em all. I'll do better next time.").
It's not what happens to you, dude or dudette, it's how you see what happens to you and around you, and how you handle it.
So if things are not going your way in one or more areas of life, to point fingers anywhere but to yourself is to be guaranteed to keep getting more of the same.
That's a lock.
The way you see life now is the same way you've looked at it for years. Because that self talk that's been in your head for years has been shaping your view of your world all that time. So if you want some circumstances or some emotional patterns to change, the only way it will happen is to examine your beliefs and attitudes surrounding the underlying issues, and you must change your self-talk. Otherwise...
Look at the 22 mental patterns shown on the Think Right Now! home page and filter your beliefs and attitudes in any of the "problem" areas of your life through those patterns and I guarantee you'll have a major "Aha!" moment... and you'll be open to doing what you need to do to get different results.
If you don't have that "Aha!"? Well...then you're pretty hopeless and you're going to be experiencing a lot more pain, anger, frustration and depression.
Where you are failing, take responsibility. Change your inner affirmations (your beliefs) Then and only then can you take control.
Then you can start to develop superpowers even where there is none now.

Your Health is Your Wealth:
The Solution to All the World's Problems Now that's a grandiose title, isn't it? Fortunately, there IS a solution to the world's problems. Poverty, war, disease, crime and the like can all disappear into nothingness. The solution does not involve prisons, bombs, laws and politics for those methods have, for centuries, given only the illusions of temporary fixes.
Interestingly, this true solution is no secret. It has occurred to almost everyone. It is intuitive and we have a "knowing" about it. Yet few of us take the appropriate action because hardly any of us believe in the true power of our own abilities. That includes me ... but I'm getting there.
The solution that we already "know" about involves a mindset and tends to start, something like this ... "If only everyone had perfect personal peace within ... if only everyone was aligned with their spiritual perfection ... if only there were no insecurities nor needs to "be better than" ... if only love replaced greed ... THEN we would find joy in each other, cooperation would replace judgement and all the world's problems would start to fade."
But then we read of the ongoing tragedies in the newspaper and see that sort of strife and tension mirrored in our families and workplaces. We see this negative "reality" all around us and give up on our fantasies of peace and love. "How impossible", we think, "Just look at how thoroughly ingrained this mess is throughout the world. How could we EVER unravel this intricate ball of twine?"
So, even though we know it is wrong, we continue fruitlessly with our prisons, bombs, laws and politics.
Yet the possibilities for achieving that delicious spiritual awareness are very real. We need only start with that well accepted phrase passed down through the ages that says ... "You are what you think." From there we can step up to the basic truth that rings throughout my series on The Palace of Possibilities that says ...
"Your consistent thoughts become your reality." (for those familiar with it, this is a simplified synopsis of the Law of Attraction).
To launch us in the proper direction, we need only combine this simple truth with the startling findings from Quantum Physics that (1) we are immersed in a sea of infinite possibilities (God?) and (2) our thoughts are the means by which we travel within that sea. This literally means that we can be, do or have ANYTHING we want.
Depending on your current beliefs, that statement could be tough to swallow. Maybe you believe it is possible to change your thinking and thus make more money, achieve an hourglass figure and cure a disease. But do you believe that you can live a life of non-stop joy ... or ... transport yourself over thousands of miles without the use of planes, trains or automobiles?
See, there are always limits to our thinking. What is fascinating, though, is that our "limits" keep expanding as we approach them. For example, earning $100,000 per year may seem impossible for someone earning $30,000. They can't see that far ahead. However, they can see $40,000 and, once achieved, they can then see $50,000 ... and then $80,000 ... and then $150,000 ... and beyond. After awhile, even Donald Trump seems small. Actually, compared to Bill Gates, he is small. But you get the idea. Our "limits" are more dependent on our thinking than on outside "barriers."
Expand this idea so that everyone shares in the "sea of infinite possibilities" and we will make obsolete the need for prisons, bombs, laws and politics to solve world problems. For if everyone is loaded up with all the possibilities they can handle, then what need is there for poverty, war, disease and the like?
So how do we achieve these mental states and thus create a world of joyous people? Do we just practice positive thinking? Well, that's a start. However, positive thinking like, "I am always joyous and see nothing but the beauty in this world" is a real challenge to do if we have competing thoughts like, "But I hate that @#$%^ who abused me as a child."
These competing thoughts are rampant in this world and they often become our dominant thoughts that, in turn "become our reality." They permeate our financial, social and health circumstances and stop us at every turn. They are the main deterrent to realizing our possibilities.
Fortunately, EFT can collapse all of them so that each becomes "just another thought." With the competition out of the way we can now soar through The Palace of Possibilities with ease.
Will this solve the world's problems this week? Probably not. But this effort starts with each of us individually. And as the benefits become apparent to others they will follow. And as the wave continues to other parts of the world, our seemingly insurmountable problems will eventually fade.
Nice idea, don't you think? But does it seem too grandiose? Too idealistic? Well, use it for yourself. Expand your possibilities. Expand your joy and then recognize that everyone can do this. Then notice how the idealistic label changes to "possible" and then to "realistic" and, finally, to the only true solution.

Good Fat vs. Bad Fat
It seems everyone sees fat as the enemy. Stores are loaded with products that are labeled "low-fat" or "non-fat." And people buy them by the boatload each week, with visions of getting rid of those jiggly hips, thighs and arms, or the spare tire. Let me make a few things clear: * If you overeat, it doesn't matter how low-fat or non-fat something is. If you eat too much, you will gain weight. Low-fat or non-fat doesn't mean zero calories. In place of the fat, the food processors put it, you guessed it, sugars! You didn't think they'd make their stuff not taste good, did you? * Fat is not the biggest enemy--too much blood cholesterol is. - The body needs cholesterol in the bloodstream, but having too much puts you at risk for heart disease, heart attack and stroke. * The body should have (a little) fat: - Fats help give your body energy and support healthy cell growth - They protect your organs and help keep you warm - They help your body absorb nutrients * All fats are not created equal. There are good fats and bad fats...and knowing the difference can save your life.
Here's a short lesson on the 4 different kinds of fats...good and bad: 1) Saturated fats (BAD FAT) Where they come from: Animals - meat and dairy products (including butter, lard and cream) Other sources are palm and palm kernal oil. Why they're bad: They raise cholesterol.
2) Trans-fats (BAD FAT) Where they come from: Hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils (like shortening and margarine) Hydrogenated oils are used in most packaged snack foods, cookies, side dishes, snack cakes and most bakery goods. (Hint: Start reading labels!) Why they're bad: Just like saturated fats, they raise cholesterol.
3) Monounsaturated fats (GOOD FAT) Where they come from: Olive oil, canola oil, peanut oil, sunflower oil and sesame oil. Other sources include avocados, peanut butter, and many nuts and seeds. Why they're good: They help lower bad cholesterol.
4) Polyunsaturated fats (GOOD FAT) Where they come from: Soybean oil, corn oil and safflower oil, as well as fatty fish such as salmon, mackerel, herring and trout. Why they're good: Just like monunsaturated fats, they help lower bad cholesterol. They also provide fats that your body needs but can't produce itself - like omega-6 and omega-3. Your body needs these fats for healthy cell development and brain function.
