Your Thoughts Are Reality's Engine

RICHES, WEALTH AND FREEDOM FROM FEAR BEGIN HERE
As long as you try to change reality by battering away at it, you’re working on the wrong end of the cause-effect equation.
We’ve seen how all the things around you - all the situations, conditions and circumstances of your life - are formed from the inside out. Your thoughts create your reality, just as your input into your word processor creates the printout that comes out of your computer.
Your thoughts, feelings and expectations are your input. Your outward life is the output - the printout.
And if your output (the conditions of your outer life) is not satisfactory, you’re going to have to look inside to find the cause.
Let’s say you have a problem in your life. A big problem… maybe your bills are overdue and you have no money. Or your spouse doesn’t love you anymore and is about to walk out. Or a dread disease is rampaging through the body of a loved one.
What can we do right now, today, to change that “reality”?
First, we can recognize that you’ve been “building” the inner conditions leading to this printout for quite a while. It takes time to create any condition in our reality, and it can take a while to change it to something we like better. Now, it doesn’t HAVE to take a long while. It could change almost instantly.
But you should be aware that instant change does take some extremely serious, really deep and powerful internal changes. As soon as we make those changes inside, however, the outer changes appear effortlessly.
Notice that the effort goes on inside.
As long as your beliefs still include a picture of yourself as a victim of outside circumstances, you’ll be battling to solve your problems - battling to change a universe that barely hears your voice because you have chosen to have it that way. And it will continue to more-or-less ignore you until you learn to speak the right language to it.
Creating Your Life Is an Ongoing Process You Control
Since you are happening to life, and not the other way around, it’s important to recognize that YOU hold the power.
Life is not some preset, predetermined, preordained course laid down before you were born. There are some who teach this, but their arguments are pretty weak.
Let’s say you decide to get up and walk across the room. According to the predetermination guys, the fact that you did cross the room proves that it was a part of your life’s plan from the beginning. The fact that you argued with yourself and nearly chose to walk out the door instead - well, that was all part of the prewritten script also.
Now, if you want to believe you’re a puppet with no choice except to ride along a preset route like a passenger in a roller coaster buggy, then be my guest. But please do recognize that this is only your belief.
Nobody can prove it; nobody can disprove it.
For my part, I choose to live a life filled with power. Now, if that power was preordained from before my birth, then fine. But I still choose the power.
You know, it’s amazing how a person’s so-called preordained life course can suddenly change when they get tired enough of the crap and decide to have a life of joy, achievement and satisfaction. Are we to believe that their decision to change, and the subsequent shift in direction are also preordained? Oh come on… that argument just keeps getting weaker and weaker.
So let’s set aside the doubts and the philosophical groveling in the dirt. Instead, let’s stand up on our hind legs and resolve to be the humans we were born to be.
Let’s just create the life we want.
I’m convinced you do know what you want. At the very least, you know what you don’t want, right? You’re sick and tired of all the troubles hounding your heels right now. You’re fed up with the limits and fears and insecurities swarming around you today.
To grab the power, name those fears. Name the limits and the troubles. Describe them in graphic detail. Grab ‘em, shake ‘em, and look ‘em straight in the eye.
Then decide you will find a way to have the exact opposite of all those things you don’t want.
So far, your mind has been filled with those negatives. You know this is true because your life is filled with stuff you don’t enjoy. And whatever you see around you… well, that’s just a printout, right?
So let’s begin to use those negatives. Let’s name them. Then claim them (they really are yours, and until you accept ownership, you won’t have any authority over them). Once you’ve done that, you can use them for building a launch pad to better things.
We’ll examine how to do this a little farther on.
ACTION POINT
Before you can do anything else, you need to reclaim your authority over your own life. You can do that by deliberately grabbing hold of the biggest, baddest, meanest problems now tormenting you. Look them straight in the eye and tell them, “I made you, and I can un-make you. You’re on your way out of here because I say so.”
Now, naturally there’ll be more work to do, but this is the absolutely basic start. Until you can muster up the courage to do this, all other steps in the process will be empty arm-waving.
