Today I want to talk about the fastest, easiest and most certain way to grow and to improve anything about yourself ever discovered.

But first...

Ah, wonderful day, isn't it?

Yes, it is, most certainly. A fantastic day to be alive, to learn, to give and to grow.

Did you notice that?

Those statements. Above.

Three statements and all of them were...

Statements of belief - of conviction.

What they are is affirmations.

I like calling them self-instructions because that term describes what they do. They instruct us how to feel and how to act.

But regardless of what you call them, they are the most direct, the most powerful and the easiest tools for changing your feelings and the results you get in your life...

...IF you use the right self-instructions.

And if you use them A LOT.

You see, all day every day you are constantly thinking, thinking, thinking. You can't shut your thinking off. Even if you are an experienced meditator, you would find it hard to turn off the pictures, sounds and feelings your mind makes you conscious of.

All day you are affirming what you believe.

Every minute of every day.

Even now, this very second you are affirming what you believe.

If you doubt what I'm saying now, then you were thinking, "That's not true."

But guess what?

That was an affirmation, too - a statement of belief and conviction.

In fact, every statement you've ever made or ever will make and every thought you've had or ever will have is either a question or an affirmation.

"Is that true?" (that's a question)

"Yes that's true." (That's an affirmation)

"Sweet." (affirmation)

"Please leave." (affirmative command)

"Don't go." (affirmative command)

"I'm not going anywhere." (affirmation)

"This is interesting. This is boring. I'm hungry. I'm tired. You look good. This is never going to work. I feel incredible. It is cold outside. I can't concentrate. This is easy. Lifting weights is invigorating. I hate sweating for ANY reason."

All just affirmations.

So when some moron says that affirmations "don't work," they have no earthly idea what they are talking about. They are "working" on you right now and they will "work" on you up until you check out of this place.

What's my point? (question)

Since you are affirming your reality and your future reality every minute of every day, through "affirmation," you have the power to enjoy the kind of success, the kind of health and the kind of peace of mind you really want.

And you can do it now.

Even if you are already extremely skilled in some area of life, if you wanted to, you could enjoy even greater accomplishments by elevating your moment by moments thoughts (your affirmations).

And they stop eating even if a pile of their favorite food is still on their plates...

But when people who suffer the most illnesses, sicknesses, pain and diseases have eaten a decent amount already and with more of their favorite foods still in front of them, we discovered that they often say things like, "One more bite won't hurt. I can't stop. Oh, it's small. I'll just eat light tomorrow. I had a small lunch so I could have this. That taste like another. I'm still hungry."

Nice affirmations, huh?

In every subject that we compared successes and failures, we always find hundreds of differences in core beliefs.

And the sobering truth is that the longer a person owns a belief (affirms it as true), the harder it is to change.

With every day that passes, it becomes more and more difficult to change your habits.

Every time, for example, you think that you can't stand it when your boss says anything about your lack of speed or of the continuing lack of accuracy or of your tardiness, the longer you'll continue to make the same mistakes that cause the criticism in the first place.

So the anxiety increases by the day... with every "What a jerk" thought that you think.

So as the months and years go by, it becomes less and less likely that you can actually see that it's YOU, not your growing pile of past employers that has the problem.

So excuses are plentiful.

And they are just more affirmations... what you hold as truth.

The all encompassing power that our constant affirmations have on us is why they are such important catalysts for change and growth.

Nothing else even comes close.

You have an incredible opportunity to take total control over yourself, your decisions and every area of your life...

When you change what you affirm, moment by moment, you grow.

When you change what you affirm, moment by moment, you can feel differently.

When you change what you affirm, moment by moment, you can act differently.

And it can feel so natural, it's mind-boggling.

I have clients whose core mental patterns are so disempowering, so screwed up, that they suffer from panic attacks. They lose all mental and physical control. But in many cases, when we aggressively work to alter their moment by moment thoughts which ultimately alters their core assumptions about themselves and about life, the "disorder" called panic attack ends.

This is true even if the therapy and the psychoactive drugs they've been dumping into their bodies for decades has done little or nothing to help them.

Yup. Self-instructions are powerful.

But... quite often your mind can be super stubborn.

It does not want to change.

Change can be uncomfortable.

The pain we may feel now, after all, is familiar at least.

When big habit changes occur, it's not often very fun. It's unfamiliar. "Scary."

We don't want to change our core assumptions about life and about ourselves.

That's why when you read some self-help book or go to therapy or to a seminar, chances are excellent that nothing at all will change. You will do nothing. Too scary. Or if you do experience an improvement in your moods or habits, it's usually very short lived.

Why?

Because your core assumptions, your beliefs, your attitudes (lifelong affirmations) take back control of you.

You fought the change. You fought the new habit. You found reasons why you couldn't continue, why you didn't like it, why it was wrong for you, why you couldn't succeed after all.

Information alone is usually not enough.

If just knowing what to do guaranteed success, then everyone in college would get A's and would go on to have successful careers in their chosen field of study. But they don't. Out of 100 students using the same text book, getting the same lectures from the same teacher, only a few will score 90+ and even fewer will use the knowledge to ensure success in career and life.

Information alone is usually not enough.

The old saying that you can't teach an old dog new tricks is NOT always true.

But it's usually pretty accurate.

Because information alone is usually not enough to make radical changes to a person's daily habits, to their personality, to their self image, to their overall confidence level.

Why?

Because we talk to ourselves all day long.

Your inner dialog is most likely EXACTLY the same as it was last year. You probably haven't changed one bit in the last few years... other than maybe gaining some weight.

In fact, our research found that most people's thoughts are the same thoughts as they had many years before. Most people believe the same things about themselves in 2005 that they believed in 1995 and in 1985 and in 1975.

If something frightened you 20 years ago, it's likely to still make your knees knock today.

If you hated exercising 10 years ago, you probably won't like it much tomorrow either.

Because you probably affirm (believe) the same things now that you did 10 years ago.

Don't you get frustrated with yourself sometimes? OK... a lot?

Unless you do a complete mental housecleaning, that's not going to change.

It's called mental patterns.

They get hard wired into you.

Point is, our research proves that without mental conditioning through massive repetition of positive opposing thought, you will probably have the same bad habits 20 years from now that you have today.

You will be the same.

The things you suck at today you will still suck at in 20 years.

In most cases. Not all, but most.

Because your daily affirmations (your core beliefs about yourself and about life), your moment by moment thoughts, will continue to make you more and more and more like you are right now... in the future.

"Same Sh*t, different day" is a cliché because it's true for most people.

Think of your current daily thoughts (affirmations) as a paint brush that continues to paint the exact same colors on the exact same places on the exact same picture for the rest of your life.

"Oh, you don't understand. Quitting smoking is darn near impossible."

"I will never figure this out."

"You make me so mad."

"Life isn't fair."

"Everyone my age is overweight."

"I'm just not good at this."

"I'm not meant to have a lot of monëy. It's my destiny."

"I don't have the time to eat healthier meals. I'm busy."

"I'll never get caught up."

"I'm so depressed."

"I'm feel like I'm going to die."

"See? I knew it wasn't going to work!"

"I want a snack." (Even though you are not hungry at all)

"I'm not that fat." (compared to Two Ton Tina)

"There are no decent men out there."

It' this kind of rotten daily moment by moment thoughts (affirmations) that make you feel horrible.

They fill you with anxiety.

They make simple decisions difficult.

They suck the joy out of your accomplishments.

They create illness and disease.

They take away your energy and zest for adventure.

And they are going on EVERY MINUTE OF EVERY DAY.

But they don't have to any more.

You know what?

Ponder this...

Every sentence in this email is either a question or an affirmation. (Just like that sentence is)

Believe me now?

This is real.

I know what I'm talking about.

I'm telling you the way it really is.

Accomplishment is no longer a mystery.

It all starts and ends with you...

And your affirmations.

Nothing else will work quite as well, as easily or as quickly.

I had been looking for ways to help my confidence and self- esteem ever since I had a nervous breakdown in 2002. I was the VP of a steel fabrication company (the construction industry can be very stressful along with owners, etc but I won't bore you with those details) and had a nervous breakdown. I took me over a year to come out of my shell and get back into the "game". I had to stay in this field because it was all I really new and could continue to provide me a pretty good income. I have a wife and 2 children along with a home and all the stuff that goes with it.

For the first year that I was trying to find the old me I just keep dwelling on the past and couldn't get going. I started to use drugs to help me get through the days. I was also (and had been) take Zoloft for depression for the last 5 or so years. My doctors response was to up my dosage and prescribe another drug for my anxiety (don't recall the name, but I didn't take).

So, early in 2003 I was starting to feel better and was getting offers to companies in my field, but just didn't have the nerves to take on these responsibilities again. I could not handle conflict or deliver any bad news (or news I thought was bad). I started to research different ways to help myself; I read books, talked with different people and scoured the internet. I tried a few different products and was considering hypnosis. I new that my inner "demons" were controlling me but I just couldn't fight back. Well, low and behold I came across your website and after reading it I felt that your observations fit me to a T. I didn't want to tell anybody about your programs because all the ones prior ended the same, NOTHING.

When I was being confronted about the contract, my first response was anger and I wanted to get up and walk out. But I took a few deep breaths and responded in both a firm and knowledgeable way. I now felt my conscience working with me and not against me. I felt so good on how I handled myself!!!! Needless to say, because of my actions (and your program), the owner awarded us the contract because of the way I represented myself and our company and didn't yell and scream like most of the other potential bidders.

Since listening to the Self-Esteem Now! Program I feel so much better, I have a tremendous amount of motivation, confidence and quit my use of drugs to help me cope. I am still taking the Zoloft but at a lower dosage and I'm trying to get off it altogether.
