Today is

You will never be able to live this day again.

Once it's over, it's over forever. In the books.

So why not do what you can to make it great. A day to remember forever.

If you have to rake the leaves or mow the lawn, do it with energy.

If someone unloads on you, just bite your tongue and keep your dignity.

Today is your day. Don't let anyone take it away from you.

Jails and graves are filled with people who let someone provoke them into doing something they regretted. No one can take control of your mind. Not today. Not now.

If you have a tight deadline coming up, put your energy into meeting it. The hell with the drink or the pill. You don't need it. You don't need tears. They aren't going to help you. And they won't make you feel any better.

There are projects that you are involved in. Plan. Get ahead.

No hookey playing today could feel good enough to overcome the pain you'll feel when you fail to reach your goal.

Enjoy your labor.

Enjoy your relaxation.

Enjoy your recuperation.

Enjoy your learning.

Enjoy your love.

It's all necessary. You can't have one without the other.

Notice what's good.

Make it up if you have to. Isn't it all an illusion anyway?

Love the vegetables. They make you healthier and give you longer life.

Feel the warmth of the hugs. They keep you young.

Today is your day. Embrace the inevitable challenges. They are your best training for tomorrow and beyond... your best preparation for your next success and your next.

The strain in your muscles makes your bones stronger.

The criticism makes you wiser.

The meeting with the principal gives you course correcting information.

The job supports everything else that's good in your life.

The loss makes your desire grow.

This day can be a stepping stone.

It hardly matters how fast you are going if you are facing in the wrong direction.

Take control.

Be still.

Think.

What's most important?

Do it. You can. Absolutely. Look at all the things you've done in your life. You can do this.

And when you finish all of it that you can for now, then do the next most important thing and then the next.

And notice what's good, what you learned, what's beautiful, what's ugly.

Take a slow deep breath and exhale.

Feels good, doesn't it?

Smile. C'mon. Smile.

Notice how you feel when you smile now.

Answers will come to you quicker now.

Tasks will seem easier, today than they did yesterday.

You'll make decisions that you put off. You'll make the right decisions.

Temptations aren't tempting at all. What is up with you today?

You sure have a lot to smile about.

It must be your day.

And why not today? Why can't it be your day?

No reason at all.

That's why it is yours.

Because you deserve it.

And you will continue to earn this day, your day... all day. So you can enjoy it deeply.
